ELYRIA NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK WATCH
Block watch groups are a network of concerned citizens that help protect the community neighborhoods through various city block watch groups. Each group has a coordinator and some choose Captains assigned to specific streets within that group. Each coordinator conducts neighborhood meetings on a regular basis to keep neighbors informed of crime and safety concerns. Meetings for each block watch group are held at various locations throughout the city that are convenient for their neighborhoods. To receive a free smoke alarm installation in your home, please fill out this online form or call the Elyria office at 440-324-2929. A member of the American Red Cross will contact you within one week to schedule a time for their volunteers to install smoke alarms in your home.
