"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. ~~Stephen Grellet~~
Another year has gone by, and I am now officially twenty-five. So, as I'm looking back on the past year, and forward to what the future has to offer, I'm feeling a bit more pensive than usual.
Being twenty-four represented one of the most challenging and rewarding periods of my entire life. I learned valuable lessons about myself personally, the world around me, and the public servant I want to be. Most importantly, I realized that life is truly about the journey.
As I celebrated my twenty-fifth birthday, I did so knowing that my life has been enriched by the interactions I've been fortunate enough to share with so many amazing people. I believe it's these relationships that have molded my very character, and inspire me every day to continue fighting for the progressive policies that will move the 5th Ward and the City of Elyria forward.
The things that matter most are people - and the good that we accomplish together to leave our community and environment in a better condition than which we found it. As I start this new journey, I do so with new energy and a bold purpose: to continue growing personally, dedicate myself further to service, and operate with the deep understanding that there are no ordinary moments in this life, and that I shall not pass this way again.
